DotDot Fundraising & Charity work

thank

Its now Summer 2019 and DotDot have spent the last year supporting various Cypriot & Serbian street dog charities.

I am thrilled to say that in the course of the last 12 months, we have assisted 8 dogs getting their forever homes in the UK and raised nearly £1800 in funds and I have also been a consignee for a flight coming into the UK and had the honour of handing over fur babies to their new forever families.

We are thrilled to have supported the following rescues & charities;

* Fundraising for Cyprus Street Dogs
* Apollo's Angels
* Noah's Ark Dog Shelter
* Pointer rescue Serbia

You will continue to see DotDot support some of the above charities by way of monthly kennel sponsorship's, DotDot DogFood donations, raffle prizes or simply by sharing the posts for some of the beautiful fur babies who need their forever homes.

The reason I started fundraising for the charities above, was because our beloved Percy dog came to us as a puppy from Cyprus in Jan 2019 and it opened my eyes to the epidemic that there is abroad of abandoned gun dogs - I made a promise that I would help in some way to repay these amazing people who give their time freely and often (and money... a lot of their money!) to take these poor, discarded and badly abused dogs off the streets and into their home.  The laws are so lacking in the way in which animals are kept and can be treated, not like here in the UK.

It really is so easy to adopt from abroad, the paperwork and legals are all done by the charity, and the medical and vets side of things is so thorough. They have more tests and paperwork within their passports than you get when you buy here in the UK. You then continue to get 100% support from the rescue for life.

I get asked a lot why DotDot don't support UK charities - simple answer is...we do!

Since DotDot Pet Care began, over the last 2.5years it has raised more than £4000 for chairites and community projects.  This includes Guide Dogs for the Blind, Martin House, a Local Community Outreach project and this years family day (06th July - see the EVENTS page) is raising all funds for the 'Canine Partners Assistance Dogs'.

A huge THANK YOU to each and every one of you who have supported DotDot in raising these much needed funds.

I am not discouraging anyone buying a dog from the UK, or adopting from the UK, I am just embracing all the different ways that we can add a fur baby to our families. After all, whats a home without a doggy ;)
